I hope this email finds you well as we brace for some snow and whatever else comes with the final week of January. 

For regular readers of these newsletters, you’ll notice some carry over from last week in the form of the letter to DCP that saying after years of meetings, in person and virtually, we want an opportunity to have the DEIS released, evaluate the plan, and advocate as strongly as we can for varying issues. If you read our previous writing on the matter, it’s clear that funding for capital improvements in NYCHA properties is something of a red line for support.  Anyway, every time I’m about to send the letter, more people seem to add their support. On Friday, it stood at 41 of our board members, but now it’s to 43 up members with the recent addition of former chair Daniel Kummer, Environmental Protection Chair Hildegaard Link. 

Speaking of public meetings and virtual happenings tonight, our EWCDH committee will meet with an internal and informal meeting about things related to the topics that give the committee its name. Like all other meetings, it’s open to the public, and you can sign up for it here. 

Anyway, I hope you have a good evening, make a note of some of the things below my signature, and most importantly, stay safe.
