I hope this email finds you warm and well as we head into what’s expected to be a cold weekend in CB6’s environs and beyond.

Speaking of CB6’s environs, it’s certainly been getting more attention than usual. From the pending Gowanus rezoning to the last mile product fulfillment centers in Red Hook, these are issues that have been in the spotlight. Our community cares deeply about both issues while maintaining various perspectives. Despite the varying perspectives, there is agreement on the need for as much action as possible, starting as soon as possible. For Gowanus, that means a speedy response from the Department of City Planning to our request for the release of the Environmental Impact Statement. In Red Hook, that means, as we've requested, a comprehensive traffic study to be conducted by the Department of Transportation.
On both of these issues, when I know more, I’ll share it, and you’ll know more as well.
Unfortunately, for now, it’s all I’ve got other than to remind you that we have our February board meeting on the 10th, and we expect to be offering Spanish language interpretation. You can sign up for the meeting here, and when joining the meeting, if you'd like to use the translation services, follow these steps and select the Spanish audio channel.
On that note, I’ll make my usual recommendation to read on below, stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the weekend.
