Last night, as advertised, our EWCDH committee met and had presentations from the Van Alen Institute and Gowanus Dredgers. If you weren’t able to join the meeting or want to relive it, you can watch the meeting on YouTube or check out the presentations here. I wasn’t able to attend last night but have heard nothing but rave reviews for both presentations. Additionally, on the EWCDH front, as we’ve asked, ferries to Governors Island will run from Red Hook and pier six starting May 1st.

Keeping with CB6 committees, tomorrow night at our YHSE committee meeting, we’ll hear from the NYC Test and Trace Corps and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Just like last night, it will start at 6:30 PM and be held over zoom.

Again, with COVID-19 rates going up, I’d remind you to get vaccinated as soon as you’re eligible. Anyone over 30 is now eligible for vaccination, and a week from today, Tuesday, April 6th, anyone over the age of 16 will be eligible. If you’re over 75 years old,  you and one person of any age that comes with you can arrive without an appointment and get vaccinated at the 24/7 locations of Brooklyn Army Terminal, Bathgate, and Citi Field. You have less reason for not being vaccinated by the day, so please do so ASAP. 

On that note, as usual, I recommend reading on, getting a vaccine if you can, and enjoying the rest of your Tuesday.
