Earlier today, Governor Cuomo announced that beginning on May 19th, most capacity restrictions will be lifted for most brick and mortar businesses. Without his usual dissimulation of not controlling it, the Governor announced the subway would resume 24/7 service. It can’t be proven, but it suits my conceit to tell myself this resumption is due to the letter we wrote back in January, as COVID-19 vaccinations began, insisting such service be resumed. 

Speaking of vaccines, if you haven’t been vaccinated, please walk into one of these locations or make an appointment to do so ASAP. It’s even more important as health experts say that “herd immunity” due to vaccine hesitancy will likely be unattainable, and COVID-19 will be with us in a “manageable” way for years to come. 

On that note, I recommend reading on to remind yourself of how active our community is. But no matter what, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your Monday.
