The Governor announced that New York would adopt CDC guidance to allow those fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to be maskless in most indoor spaces. The Subway is back to 24/7 service, and Covid statistics keep moving in the right direction. If you’d like to combine these three things, and you’re not vaccinated, I’d recommend riding the subway to one of these stations and getting vaccinated. 

Shifting to the CB6 sphere of influence, we have two committee meetings this week. The first is tonight, Monday, May 17th, at 6:30 PM, when our Economic, Waterfront, Community Development, & Housing Committee(EWCDH) meets over zoom. Speaking of the EWCDH committee, one of its committee/ CB6 members and small business owner, Natasha Amott, recently had a piece published on the issue of retail and commercial rents that's certainly worth reading. 

The second CB6 committee to meet this week will be our Parks Committee. That meeting will be held over zoom on Wednesday, May 19th, and begin at 630 PM. You can register for these meetings by clicking blue text, or you can find out more, about these and other meetings, at linktr.ee/BKCB6.
