Happy to continue to report that our city and community’s COVID-19 statistics are moving in the right direction. The most direct way you can help this remain the case is by getting vaccinated ASAP.

Moving on to CB6 action, our Economic, Waterfront, Community Development, & Housing committee met last night. The committee heard from DCP and their release of the Gowanus Industrial Business Zone vision plan and HPD on affordable housing. If you weren’t there or want to relive the magic, I’d suggest watching it here on YouTube. 

While we have more Gowanus in our future, the most immediate item on the docket is our Parks Committee meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19th. The committee will hear from the Parks Department as a follow-up on the recent district park tours conducted by chairman Glenn Kelly. If you’re interested, remember that the meeting begins at 6:30 PM and will take place on Zoom.
