First, this Thursday, May 27th, at our Landmark/Land Use meeting, we'll have an informational presentation from the Department of City Planning. My understanding is that this presentation will be similar to the one they gave to the planning commission, which can be seen here.
Second, as officially announced yesterday, next Thursday, June 3rd, is our joint public hearing with Brooklyn Community Board 2. The hearing will start at 330 PM, and people will be able to participate over zoom and in person at Washington Park. For details on how to submit testimony and register, click here. This hearing also has a rain date for the following Thursday, June 10th.
Third, to limit the amount of possible rescheduling and force us to hold a late Friday meeting, the Landmarks/ Land Use Committee will meet on Thursday, June 17th. At the June 17th meeting, it is expected that a motion will be made to approve or disapprove, with various conditions, the Gowanus Rezoning.
Fourth, that motion will then be on the agenda for our June 23rd Full Board meeting and be put up for a vote for all our board members.
If you’re a board member, you’ll be receiving appropriate zoom links for these meetings over the coming days. Please note that such links for the June 3rd public will be from the Department of City Planning and not our CB6 zoom account.
