We are continuing to make vaccination progress as marked by a fireworks display last night. However, if you haven’t yet been vaccinated, please do so ASAP.
We are continuing to make vaccination progress as marked by a fireworks display last night. However, if you haven’t yet been vaccinated, please do so ASAP. Vermont is beating us by 10%. We can't let Senator Sander's adopted state do better than his birthplace.
I’ll be brief, as tonight, Wednesday, June 16th, the theme is of schools and Red Hook. What I mean is that the Red Hook Initiative will host a meeting about last-mile warehouses while our Youth Services and Education Committee will hear from Superintendent Anita Skop about the elementary school rezoning, which the CEC voted to approve last night.
One week from tonight, we have our full board meeting and vote on the Gowanus Rezoning. However, sooner than that, tomorrow night at 6:30 PM, our Landmarks/ Land Use committee will hear from DCP and vote on the rezoning. After that, whatever the committee ends up saying will be passed on to the full board for a final resolution and vote at our June 23rd meeting. The process then moves on to the Borough President for his recommendation(s) on June 30th. Once again, here is the draft resolution that the committee is currently circulating. Also, another refresher, click here for all the previous presentations we’ve been given and statements we’ve made on the rezoning.
On that note, I’ll finish by recommending reading past my signature or clicking here to check out the coverage of demands for fully funding NYCHA capital improvements. However, no matter what you choose, enjoy the rest of your day.
