I hope this email finds you well on this 11th day of August in the midst of what is likely to be a stretch of dangerously hot days.

For that reason, it’s important to stay cool and safe. Stay safe by getting vaccinated against Covid -19 asap, and one can stay cool via air conditioning or finding a local cooling center. I once walked around a supermarket for a few hours when my air conditioner broke a few years ago but considering the Delta variant and the energy used to walk around for a few hours; I’m not advising it.

Moving to a topic that is, seemingly, always of interest, the EPA submitted comments on Gowanus Rezoning EIS. We at CB6 are certainly encouraged to see that much of it aligns with our conditional approval. Specifically, on pages 2,3, and 4 of our 14-page resolution in which we focus on EPA review and oversight and demand that the EPA will “will vigorously enforce its orders and ensure that the City meets its obligations,” as well as a review of Public Place and individual brownfield developments.

On that note, it’s too hot to type anymore, so stay cool, keep scrolling beyond my signature and stay safe.

Best,
