I hope this email finds you well on this 26th day of August that is Women's Equality Day. Of somewhat less significance, but very popular on social media, it’s also National Dog Day. We are, as is clear to anyone that’s been outside, experiencing extreme heat and a heat advisory remains in effect. 

I’ll be brief but want to remind folks of mosquito spraying that will be occurring later tonight from 8:30 PM until 6:00 AM tomorrow. Check here to find out more specific locations that will be sprayed to reduce exposures to the West Nile Virus. If weather doesn’t allow for the spraying it will be rescheduled for August 30th. While spraying is one way to reduce the risk of a virus, another way to reduce a different virus, specifically Covid-19, is for as many people as possible to get vaccinated ASAP.  

On that note, I won’t hold anyone up from getting vaccinated or checking out the events and information below my email signature. But no matter what you choose to do, stay cool, safe, and enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
