Last night, as mentioned and promoted, our Transportation and Public Safety Committee met. The focus of the meeting was an update from the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) on both short- and long-term changes to the BQE Triple Cantilever that included a wide-ranging discussion of traffic issues affecting neighborhoods across CB6. If you couldn’t make it but want to catch up on the information, you can watch the meeting on YouTube and click here for DOT’s presentation

Looking to the weekend, a lot is going on that’s much more enjoyable or would seem to be than BQE and traffic issues, particularly if you take public transit, bicycle, or walk. Happenings like the Van Alen Institutes Block Party, the 4th Avenue Yarn Bomb, the Atlantic Antic, and more.

Those items and others like the paving schedule are listed below my signature, so I’ll stop and suggest you check them out. Stay safe, find out if you’re eligible for a covid booster shot, and have a great weekend.

Best,
