Sticking with the weather, there’s a possibility of somewhere around two to four inches of snow falling tomorrow evening and into Friday morning. If this forecast impacts schools, alternate side parking, or sanitation, I’ll let you know ASAP. With that, I’ll briefly touch on three points before I go slip-sliding away.

First, directly in the CB6 sphere of influence, tomorrow, Thursday, January 6th, at 6:30 PM over Zoom, our Landmarks/Land Use Committee will meet to review applications to the Board of Standard and Appeals(BSA). In that same sphere and zoom format, our first full board meeting of 2022 is a week from today, on Wednesday, January 12th, at 6:30 PM.

Secondly, Governor Hochul, outside our sphere of influence, delivered her first “State of the State” address. The coverage (headlines) I’ve briefly skimmed so far has focused on the Governor's support for permanently legalizing the sale of cocktails to-go, the “Interborough Express,” and calling for term limits for statewide elected officials (Governor, Comptroller, Attorney General). Third, and I’ll keep harping on it until we’re actually out of the woods; click here to find free Covid-19 testing locations and here to get vaccinated or boosted against the virus.
