I hope this email finds you well on a Monday that fits the descriptions of Simon & Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter." While the song refers to going from fall to winter, we're, of course, inching towards spring, and the sun didn't set until 21 minutes after five today and will set later until June 21st. So, I'll stop talking about sunsets and switch to civics.

First, Alternate Side Parking regulations are back in effect, and sanitation collections have resumed. If there is a delay, leave your materials curbside following their normal schedule and, while there may be some delay, DSNY will pick them up.

Second, this week has two virtual meetings of particular interest to CB6. One of those meetings is our full board meeting which will start in about 48 hours on Wednesday the 9th. It'll be held over zoom and start at 6:30. The other meeting will be the following evening, Thursday the 10th, at 7 pm; DEP will host a meeting on the Owls Head CSO facility. 

Third, if you want to put some civics on your schedule for next week, in this neck of the woods, it'll be very park-focused. On Wednesday, February 16th, we have our Parks and Environmental Protection Committee meeting with an update from the Parks Department on parks across our community. Then, the next night, Thursday the 17th, the Parks Department and the EPA will hold a meeting to update the community on reconstruction projects of parks in the Red Hook Recreation Area.
