Full Board Meeting Tonight , DEP CSO Tomorrow

I hope you are well on National Pizza Day, and since it’s the second Wednesday of the month, our full board meeting day. I’m sending this on the earlier side, so I’ll mention that the sun will set at 5:23 pm and shift to civics.

I hope you are well on National Pizza Day, and since it’s the second Wednesday of the month, our full board meeting day. I’m sending this on the earlier side, so I’ll mention that the sun will set at 5:23 pm and shift to civics.

First, Governor Hochul is letting the mask mandate expire for businesses that don't require Covid-19 vaccination. In New York City, this includes supermarkets, pharmacies, laundromats, and other businesses. However, masks are still required in public transportation, schools, and hospitals. While this is a sign of "progress,” we’re still recording thousands of infections daily.

Secondly, as mentioned above, tonight is our February full board meeting. It's on zoom, starts at 6:30 PM, and we will have votes on two liquor licenses and one landmark item. The first liquor license is for a  new Italian restaurant at 272 3rd Avenue.  The second is a fusion and fried chicken restaurant at 244 Flatbush Avenue. The Landmarks item is an application for a Certificate of Appropriateness to restore the front facade and stoop, install a new roof deck at the middle section of the roof, and a two-story rear yard extension with roof deck and a glazed rear opening at 205 Clinton Street in the Cobble Hill Historic District.
