I hope this email finds you well on this 16th day of February.  I only have a few quick items today.

First, as noted and promoted, tonight’s CB6 Parks meeting starts at 6:30 PM over zoom, and it is the first of several parks-related items happening this week. The next is tomorrow night's update on the Red Hook ball fields.

Second, this morning was the first Park Slope 5th Ave BID meeting of new executive director Joanna Tallantire’s tenure. Congratulations to Joanna. We’re excited to work with her in this role and are confident she’ll do a great job and build upon the work of her predecessor, Mark Caserta. Also, regarding the BID,thank you to CB6 member Rebecca Kobert for representing us at the meeting, and please note that April 23rd is the first day of 5th Ave Open Streets for 2022.

Third, while there are many parks-related things this week, don’t forget that we’ve got a Presidents' Day meeting next week. Our board members have been known to work holidays, and on Monday, February 21st, our Economic /Waterfront / Community Development and Housing (EWCDH) Committee will meet at 6:30 PM. After acknowledging Washington and Lincoln EWCDH will discuss a host of issues related to Red Hook and hear from the Red Hook Initiative. Also in honor of Presidents' Day, you can leave your horse and wagon on either side of the street as Alternate Side Parking regulations will be suspended, as are trash and recycling pickups while public schools will be closed all week for midwinter recess. 

Other items are listed below my contact information, and I’d recommend checking them out. Those items include meetings, job listings, and civic opportunities that could be beneficial. However, whether you believe they are worth it or not, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
