Happy International Women’s day. I hope this email finds you well on this considerably colder than yesterday, March meeting eve. I have three items, and I’ll go through them as quickly as I can.

First, be mindful that despite recent rollbacks of Covid-19 safety measures (masks in schools, vaccine screenings), we’re still seeing people test positive, and an Omicron subvariant is spreading. The intent of mentioning this is not to increase pandemic fatigue or panic but to maintain an accurate assessment of where we are to enable us to move forward safely and never go back to various restrictions that I don’t think anyone remembers fondly. 

Second, as mentioned in the first sentence, don’t forget tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9th at 6:30 PM over Zoom, we have our March Full Board meeting. We will be voting on nine items coming from two of our committees. Four of them are liquor license applications from our Permits & Licences Committee, while the other five will be from our Landmarks/Land Use Committee. Three of those five items seek landmark Certificates of Approritatentess, one is a ULURP, and the other is a BSA application. If you haven’t already done so, you may register for the meeting at bit.ly/Mar9cb6.
