I hope this email finds you well, or at least better than Caesar was two thousand and eight years ago today.

Unfortunately, my focus today is highlighting two fires. One mentioned yesterday is the fire at the UFC GYM on Dean Street between Smith and Boreum Place, which has left fifteen people without a home. Council Member Lincon Restler has organized a “GoFundMe” page for those who have lost so much, and if you are able and would like to give, click here or go bit.ly/35DeanGoFund. The other was a fire that has forced Red Hook Tavern to close temporarily. Again, a fundraiser has been organized for those out of work due to the fire. If you’d like to or can give, click here or go to bit.ly/RHTavernfirefund
On that note, I’ll stop and suggest reading further down past my contact information. You’ll find some interesting items and reminders. However, whether you stop reading here or not, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and that you “beware the ides of March.”
