Regardless of the outcome in Albany, we’ll be on Zoom through at least our April 13th Full board meeting. This is thanks to Governor Hochul signing an extension of an Executive Order that has allowed us and other similar governmental bodies to meet virtually since the Spring of 2020. As a result, with the increased accessibility, we’ve seen higher attendance and participation rates throughout the pandemic.

Secondly, while Saint Patrick’s day has passed, the celebration hasn’t stopped. So, as mentioned yesterday, I’ll remind you that this Sunday, March 20th, the Brooklyn Saint Patrick’s Day makes its triumphant return to Prospect Park West beginning at Noon. It’s a unique event on a much smaller scale than the more famous parade on Manhattan’s 5th Avenue yesterday. I’d argue, as, with most things, the CB6 version is better, and if there was any doubt about that, the Grand Marshall of the parade is none other than our Brooklyn Parks Commissioner, Martin Maher. 

Last but not least, a big congratulations to CB6 member Joe Ann Brown for being recognized a "Woman of Distinction" by Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon.
