I hope this email finds you well with rain expected on this twenty-third day of March. I have three items to highlight.

First, the Covid alert remains at Green(low), and more mandates are rolled back. So, for example, the mask mandate for children ages 2- to 4-year-olds in 3K and pre-K classrooms and daycares will be removed on April 4th if rates stay at a similar level. So hopefully, any concern is misplaced, and to make that so, be sure to get boosted if you haven’t already. 

Second, tomorrow at this time, our Landmarks/Land Use Committee (LMLU) will be meeting to review three applications. Two of those are for Certificates of Appropriateness (C of A). At the same time, the other is an application to the Board of Standards of Appeals to demap an unconstructed prolongation of Clinton Street to facilitate the development of a logistics center at 728 Court Street.

Third, the Southwest Brooklyn Tenant Union holds their March meeting over Zoom, and you join the meeting by clicking here or going to tinyurl.com/swbtumarch. Second, at 7:30 PM, Care Forward will hold a virtual roundtable featuring Council Member Shahana Hanif, focusing on raising domestic workers' standards.
