As I’m sure you know, just over in Sunset Park, at the 36th Street Subway Station, at least 16 people were injured, ten by gunfire both inside a subway car and on the platform.  I’ve been in touch with NYPD and FDNY all day, and they’ve been quick to answer any questions I’d passed along from constituents. I’d particularly offer thanks to FDNY Assistant Commissioner Jason Shelly.

We can't yet know the full human impact of this incident. What we do know is that NYPD is searching for the suspect. The D, N, and R subway lines are shut down, and there are extended delays on the subway system and roads. But, it’s free to ride the South Brooklyn NYC Ferry.  As I learn more, I’ll be sure to share it.
