As advertised, last night was our April Full Board meeting. Everything we voted on was overwhelmingly approved. Peter Fleming’s Chairperson report included motions to approve the March minutes and staff cost of living payroll adjustments. Our Landmarks/Land Use and Permits& Licenses committees also had motions for review.

Alec Schierenbeck presented the LMLU motions. One was the disapproval of an application to the Board of Standards & Appeals to build in a mapped but unutilized privately owned prolongation of Clinton Street to facilitate the development of a logistics center at 728 Court Street from three buildings to two buildings. The other 2 were approvals for applications to the Landmarks Preservation Commission for Certificates of Appropriateness (C of A) from the Landmarks Preservation Commission(LPC). One C of A’s was to install a rooftop solar array at 188 Prospect Park West (Nitehawk), and the other was for a newly enlarged 2-story rear yard extension at 19 Tompkins Place.

Rebecca Kobert pinch-hit for Rachel Freeman and presented the P & L motions. All three motions for On-Premises Liquor Licenses were approved overwhelmingly. Those licenses were for  Cousin John's Park Slope Inc. at 60 7th Avenue, Don Abel LLC at 226 7th Avenue, and Docky's of Red Hook LLC at 354 Van Brunt Street.

We also heard from Councilmembers Aviles & Restler, Assemblymember Simon, and representatives from other legislative offices. If that summary doesn’t cut it, you can watch the entire meeting on our Youtube page.
