I hope this email finds you well on this nineteenth day of April. I have two brief items and a suggestion.

First, the COVID-19 infection rate is steadily rising. The city’s health Commissioner, Ashwin Vasan, has said that the risk status is likely to move from “low” to “medium.” This would be the first time since the color-coded warning system was implemented that we’d be shifting from green (low) to yellow (medium). Hopefully, we can avoid such a shift, but no matter what, it should serve as a reminder to get tested, vaccinated, boosted, and, if eligible, boosted again. Also, despite what airlines may be doing, you’re still required to wear a mask on public transportation in New York.
