I hope this email finds you well on this humid sixteenth day of May. In addition to being humid, today may also see thunderstorms. Please note that the National Weather Service has issued a “Severe Thunderstorm Watch” for New York City until 8 PM. The City’s Office of Emergency Management has also issued a travel advisory urging caution.

Keeping with a theme of caution, the city’s health department strongly recommends that everyone wear masks indoors. In addition, it’s expected that city’s color-coded covid alert level will go from medium (yellow) to high (orange) in the coming days. However, please note that deaths are declining and hospitalizations are stable, and a big reason is covid-19 vaccinations. So, if you haven’t already, get vaccinated and boosted by going to vax4nyc.nyc.gov.
