Hopefully, all’s well on this hideously humid Monday. While humidity and heat aren’t fun, it's preferable to the possibility of hail and tornadoes.  

First, Covid- 19 is still very much here. The positivity rate, cases, and hospitalizations are all rising, and the unvaccinated and unboosted are at the greatest risk. So, keep testing, make an appointment to vaccinate your child, and boost yourself by going to vax4nyc.nyc.gov. While on the topic of vaccinations, for the monkeypox vaccine appointments, go to vax4nyc.gov/monkeypox.

Second, the City's Districting Commission released its first preliminary councilmanic maps. To see the proposed maps, click here or go to bit.ly/redistrictmap2022. Please note that we have council elections next year, but before that, early voting in State Senate and Congressional primaries starts on August 13th.

Third, our community remains busy throughout the summer, and I’ve listed lots below. That includes restaurant “week,” free movies, open streets, painting, music, and a CB6 Landmarks/Land Use committee meeting next Thursday. Check them out, or at least click them.
