First, on the unfortunately familiar note that Covid-19 rates have been rising. So, keep testing, and now that everyone six months old is eligible for a vaccine, make an appointment to get your child vaccinated and yourself boosted by going to vax4nyc.nyc.gov.

Secondly, tonight at 6 PM, Congresswoman Velasquez is hosting a virtual town hall on what a Post-Roe America looks like and how states like New York are working on expanding & protecting abortion access. To register for the town hall, go to bit.ly/NydiaPostRoe714.

Third, Borough President Reynoso conditionally approved the 9th Street Rezoning yesterday. In June, we also issued conditional approval. You’ll notice many parallels in both our and the BP’s conditions. Most notably, the need for the affordable housing component to be deeply affordable with MIH option 3 and for DCP to follow through and rezone the IBZ to expand its capacity. The next stage in the ULURP process is the City Planning Commission.

More information on those events and additional items are listed below my email signature. You should check them out, or at least click them. But, no matter what, stay cool, safe, and enjoy the rest of your day.
