I hope you're enjoying this reprieve from the heat. Unfortunately for the Yankees, there will be no such reprieve when Max Scherzer starts tonight in the Subway Series.
I hope you're enjoying this reprieve from the heat. Unfortunately for the Yankees, there will be no such reprieve when Max Scherzer starts tonight in the Subway Series. So, like Lindor or Judge, I'll be as quick as possible.
First, tonight at 6, there's a debate for the 26th State Senate district seat. This newly configured district includes the CB6 neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Columbia Waterfront Red Hook, Gowanus, and about half of Park Slope. The Democratic primary candidates are Senator Andrew Gounardes and former Council Member David Yassky. Register for the debate by going to bit.ly/D26Debate.
Don't forget that primary elections for the U.S House and State Senate are less than a month away. For more information, go to vote.nyc.
Secondly, at 6:30 PM tomorrow, our Landmarks/Land Use committee will meet. The agenda includes 4 Landmark items up for review and two information presentations. Please register at bit.ly/BKCB6July2822LMLU.
More items are items listed lower in this email. I'll suggest scrolling to find out more, but regardless, enjoy the rest of your day.
