Last night, as advertised, we had our first in-person meeting since the Zoom ignorant days of February 2020.

Last night, as advertised, we had our first in-person meeting since the Zoom ignorant days of February 2020.

With quorum reached, our Chair, Peter Fleming, called the meeting to order at 6:40, and we made our way through a light agenda. The items up for a vote came from our Landmarks Committee and consisted of 2 applications for Certificates of Appropriateness. The first application was for a new rear facade at 91 8th Avenue, and the other was to allow for door and window replacement, as well as window enlargement on the secondary facade at 60 Montgomery Place. Both share the distinction of being in the Park Slope Historic District and overwhelmingly approved by us. 

Council Member Lincon Restler and representatives of other city and state officials joined the meeting. Also, former CB6 member, and current comptroller, Brad Lander stopped by a few minutes after we’d adjourned.  

I’ll stop the synopsis soon, but I’d like to reiterate that seeing and meeting so many folks for the first time was great. Also, as I announced, our next full board meeting is on October 12th, 6:30 PM, at the Van Alen Institute, located at 303 Bond Street.
