The election will determine who'll be the Governor, Attorney General, State Comptroller, federal & state legislators, judges, and the fate of various ballot proposals. Hundred of thousands of our fellow New Yorkers have already voted.

The election will determine who'll be the Governor, Attorney General, State Comptroller, federal & state legislators, judges, and the fate of various ballot proposals. Hundred of thousands of our fellow New Yorkers have already voted. If you're not one of them, you can change that by voting this weekend. Poll sites are open tomorrow Saturday, November 5th, and Sunday, November 6th, from 9 until 5 pm. You may also drop your absentee ballot at any poll site. To find your designated poll site, as they sometimes change, go to findmypollsite.vote.nyc/.

The Marathon is on Sunday, November 6th. It's a great annual event that literally, on 4th Avenue, runs through our community. For a comprehensive list of places to watch and street closures, go to bit.ly/262info11522. 

The extra hour is due to the end of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday at 2 am. Clocks go back one hour, and people say you can get extra sleep, but no matter what you do with the hour, it amounts to a 25-hour Sunday. 

There's more going on this weekend and week than what's mentioned in the preceding paragraphs. For example, tomorrow, Saturday, November 5th, there's a boat house art show, community clean-ups, a lanternfly workshop, and smashing pumpkins that have nothing to do with Billy Corgan.  

Also, just so you know, Tuesday, November 8th, is election day and our full board meeting is Wednesday, November 9th. On election day, polls will be open from 6 am until 9 pm, schools will be closed, there will be no sanitation pickups, and Alternate Side Parking Regulations will be suspended. Our full board meeting will be a hybrid meeting, so starting at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, we'll meet at the Van Alen Institute and over Zoom.
