In a week more famous for travel, turkey, football, family, and consumerism, the usual fare of this newsletter, civics, may not be the first thing on your mind. However, since you already opened this email, I’d like to draw your attention to three brief items. 

First, a reminder that the Gowanus Oversight Task Force application is open until November 30th. To apply, go to bit.ly/gowanustaskforceapplication. 

Secondly, with Thanksgiving comes some shifting schedules. Schools will be closed; there will be no sanitation collection; Alternate Side Parking (ASP) and parking meter regulations will be suspended. Schools will also be closed on Friday while sanitation, ASP, and meters return to normal. 

Third, a week from tonight, on Monday, November 28th, our Permits & Licenses Committee will meet and review some liquor license applications. The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm, and you can register to attend at bit.ly/1128cb6liquor.
