At the meeting, we welcomed ten new CB6 members, approved two liquor licenses, and were joined by city, state, and federal government officials. I'd be remiss if I didn't thank former CB6 member Comptroller Brad Lander for the commendation marking my ten years with CB6 and for recognizing the service of past chairperson Peter Fleming.

Additionally, we announced the CB6 Transportation/Public Safety Committee would meet Wednesday, May 17th at 6:30 PM at Principles Cafe (9th St, btw, 2nd & 3rd Ave). The focus of the meeting will be DOT's presentation of 9th Street safety improvement plans.

I started the email by saying I'd attempt brevity, so I'll stop here. If you stop here, that's fine, but reading the rest could improve your weekend. Either way, be well, and happy Mother's Day to all mothers that will be celebrated on Sunday.

Best,
