Unlike the seven Saturdays prior, the expectation for tomorrow’s weather could be described by naming Blind Melon’s biggest hit “No Rain.” With that welcome news, we'll shift to our sphere of influence.
Unlike the seven Saturdays prior, the expectation for tomorrow’s weather could be described by naming Blind Melon’s biggest hit “No Rain.” With that welcome news, we'll shift to our sphere of influence.
We had two CB6 committee meetings this week. On Monday, we reviewed and approved three liquor license applications: a Lebanese restaurant at 75 5th Ave, a Sushi restaurant at 833 Union St, and a bar at 286 3rd Ave. On Thursday, our Transportation committee met and tabled DOT’s proposal regarding Union Street vehicular traffic being converted to one-way from 8th Avenue towards the park. We want DOT to come back with a more fleshed-out proposal ASAP, and when that is scheduled, you’ll hear about it here. Our Full Board will vote on the three liquor license applications on Wednesday, November 8th.
November 8th is over a week away, and lots will happen between now and then. That includes voting, parading, running, congressional careers, Halloween happenings, and more. Read the rest of this email, and you’ll see what I’m referring to.
No matter what you do, have a great weekend.
