Hopefully, you’re enjoying the snow as we head into the weekend after snapping our seven-hundred-day, snowless streak. While snow got lots of attention, other things happened in our orbit this week.
Hopefully, you’re enjoying the snow as we head into the weekend after snapping our seven-hundred-day, snowless streak. While snow got lots of attention, other things happened in our orbit this week.
For example, at Tuesday's meeting, EDC made it clear, with vague answers, that CM Aviles’s legislation(1050) requiring shore power(a position we’ve long held) for cruise ships at terminals such as Red Hook can’t be enacted soon enough. Another example was increased support for our position to daylight intersections with physical barriers to prevent further traffic violence and death. CM Hanif and 6 of her colleagues cited our support in a letter to DOT calling for exactly that and got some press.
There’s more that’ll happen, but you’ll have to read the rest of this email to find out what I’m referring to.
I hope you read the rest, but no matter what, have a good weekend.
