Hopefully, you’re doing well as we close out a week that started with an eclipse and ended with rain. In between all that, our Full Board met on Wednesday. At that Full Board meeting, we recommended approving three liquor licenses, one land use item, and increasing the budget for NYC Parks. 

One liquor license was for a cafe, catering, and event space at 177 Dwight Street in Red Hook, another for a Chinese restaurant at 392 5th Avenue in Park Slope, and a bar in Gowanus at 274 3rd Avenue. The bar will be owned and operated by the same people who own and operate the neighboring establishment, Cafe Mars. The rezoning was for a ULURP application for 150 Mill Street to change the zoning from the current M1-1 to an M1-5 to facilitate the development of a mixed-use building for retail, health care, and office space with the condition that the applicant agrees to a binding Community Benefits Agreement with NYCHA Red Hook Tenant Associations and other community-based organizations. The vote supporting our parks reiterated support for the Play Fair Campaign.
