Looking back to last Wednesday, we held our June Board meeting at P.S. 133, where all agenda items were approved, including two landmark applications and an enhanced two-way protected bike lane for Union Street.

Now, this week, we’ve got two CB6 meetings. Tonight - Monday, June 16th at 6:30 PM - our Business Affairs Committee will meet at 250 Baltic Street to review liquor license applications. Then on Wednesday, June 18th at 6:30 PM, our Transportation Committee will meet in person at 250 Baltic Street and over Zoom to hear from the Department of Transportation about proposed pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements for Court Street and a planned bus lane for Flatbush Avenue.

Also of note, the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Task Force vote has been rescheduled for June 27 - a shift from the previously announced June 18 date. It’s been great to see so many of you accessing the BMT folder on the front page of our website. Please check out our newly added joint statement on housing, signed by Senator Gounardes, Council Member Hanif, Assembly Member Simon, the Red Hook East & West Resident Associations, the Fifth Avenue Committee, the Carroll Gardens Association, and the Cobble Hill Association.

And speaking of votes: early voting is underway for the 2025 primary elections, which include races for Mayor, Comptroller, Public Advocate, and City Council. You can vote early through Sunday, June 22, or on Tuesday, June 24, Election Day. Polls are open today from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.Not sure where to vote?
