About This District

Brooklyn Community District 2

Brooklyn Community District 2 encompasses Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Clinton Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Fulton Ferry, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Vinegar Hill. Covering 2.8 square miles and home to about 100,000 residents, it is one of the borough's main civic and institutional centers.

It includes Downtown Brooklyn, the courts, major transit hubs, historic residential neighborhoods, and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The district has a compact geography but a large role in how Brooklyn works, with office towers, public institutions, historic districts, NYCHA campuses, schools, and waterfront redevelopment all sitting close together.

Thanks, and email if you have any thoughts.
