In 2023, Bedford Stuyvesant was the city’s 15th largest neighborhood by population out of 59 neighborhoods. Among the 59 districts, it has the 30th largest proportion of nonwhite population, the 30th highest median income, and the 16th most expensive rents. From 2010 to 2024, the district added 9,361 new housing units, 6,986 units of which were market rate and 2,371 units of which were income restricted.
