In 2023, South Crown Heights/Lefferts Gardens was the city’s 57th largest neighborhood by population out of 59 neighborhoods. Among the 59 districts, it has the 27th largest proportion of nonwhite population, the 38th highest median income, and the 40th most expensive rents. From 2010 to 2024, the district added 4,034 new housing units, 2,416 units of which were market rate and 1,618 units of which were income restricted.
