If you are traveling home, or anywhere, as you read this I hope it goes smoothly and please take into account that there is a “Travel Advisory” in place today and tomorrow.
1 -If you want to register, or get someone to register by mail for the February 26 th special election for Public Advocate you need to have it postmarked prior to this Friday February 1 s t .
2 -One week from now is the Green New Deal watch party that I referred to last week.Big thanks again to our very own Hildegaard Link for putting this on my radar.
When you see the consequences of what 35 Days of a government shutdown can do to hurt this planet , at the very least, it’s worth tuning in.
3 -Don’t forget that next Wednesday, February 6th, is the Gowanus Open house at PS 32.
4 - An interesting Italian incentive .
5 - Sorry to overload with things to do on February 6 th but the MTA is hosting a discussion on the accessibility of Subway stations at 2 Broadway beginning at 6 PM and ending at 830 pm.
In a district that has long had advocated for increased accessibility to our subway s, not to mention the highest elevated subway station on the planet , which by the way is not ADA accessible , I reckon there will be interest.
6 - As of now alternate side parking and parking meter rules will be in effect tomorrow, January 30th.
If that changes, as it sometimes does, I will let you know ASAP.
-Subway service changes for tomorrow, January 30th
- Bus service changes for tomorrow, January 30th.
As always, feel free to share this information anyway you see fit!
