I hope this email finds you well as we head into a Weekend that could be both sunny and cloudy . As usual for a Friday email, it includes  DOT’s weekend traffic advisory , the  MTA "Weekender , " and a heads up that Alternate Side Parking will be in effect throughout the weekend and next week.

Speaking of next week, on Monday, November 18th, Assemblymember Carroll & Councilmember Lander are hosting a safety town hall at PS 889 . It’s a bit outside of our district, but safe streets are always important.

Shifting to things occurring within our district over the next week:

On Tuesday, November 19th, the 78th Precinct will be hosting a “Build The Block" meeting at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church while CEC 15 will meet at P.S 58 . On Wednesday, November 20th our Environmental Protection Committee meets at 250 Baltic Street , and on Thursday, November 21st, our Transportation & Public Safety Committee meets at the 78th precinct , and on Friday, November 22nd Assemblymember Carroll’s office, in partnership with the American–Italian Cancer Foundation will be hosting a no-cost mammogram event at 416 7th avenue .

Before all that, you may want to grab some fresh produce right here in our district at Red Hook Farm tomorrow , Saturday, November 16th , or on Sunday, November 17th, at the Carroll Gardens or Bartel-Pritchard Square , Greenmarkets.

Of course, we are lucky to have such an active community, so there is a chance I’ve missed something. If you there is an event or something community-centric happening that you think I should know about/ think others should too, please let me know .

Have a great weekend and, as always, feel free to share this information however you’d like.

P.S- if you missed anything in this week's prior updates, you can see them below:

Mon,  Nov 11 , Tue  Nov 12 , Wed  Nov 13   and Thurs,  Nov 14 (board meeting summary)
