While the Covid-19 numbers move in the right direction, nobody is just assuming it will remain that without continuous efforts and flexible policies. Two important policy and service updates to take note of are that for the duration of the "Pause" subways, to allow for cleaning, will not be running from 1 am until 5 am and starting this Saturday, and the city be distributing free face coverings. 

Of course, those changes are occasioned by the crisis. Maybe it's a product of quarantine fatigue, but I think it's important to also look at new policies for our permanently altered reality. It's going to require consideration of a vast range of ideas and include all aspects of policy making. A prime local example would be the Gowanus Alliance seeing a need for tax relief in the Industrial Business Zone as a very helpful tool in working our way out of this crisis.
