I hope this email finds you well as we kick off a busy week. Snow is in the forecast, schools are still open, the canal is getting dredged, and there are zoom based meetings virtually every evening, so I’ll be as brief as possible.

I hope this email finds you well as we kick off a busy week. Snow is in the forecast, schools are still open, the canal is getting dredged, and there are zoom based meetings virtually every evening, so I’ll be as brief as possible. 

Tonight Monday, November 16th, our Economic, Waterfront, Community, Development, and Housing Committee meets, and on Wednesday, November 18th, we have our General Board meeting. Tomorrow night, November 17th, we are co-sponsors of a Heat/Cool Smart webinar, and of course, Thursday, beginning at 6 PM, the Department of City Planning will present on plans for the "Public Place" site. 

While those meetings, since they are held remotely, won’t be impacted, the pandemic is raging across the country and ticking up again here in NYC. After two days of rates dropping, our City’s infection rose to 2. 77%. That’s pretty close to the 3% that would make all schools shift to remote learning. However, as we saw in the fall, our plans & policies can change, so we’ll keep you posted. As a community, let’s keep up the excellent work as our rates remain low, and in some zip codes, rates are dropping.
