We’re up to a 7 day percent positivity rate of 5.19%. So please do all that you can to stay safer and lower that rate. There is increasingly good news regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, and some New Yorkers may receive it by December 15th. Of course, this all would be a lot easier if we had a  Government, especially at the federal level, that met the moment with policies that alleviated so much excess pain during this pandemic.

Anyway, returning to the CB6 virtual orbit last night was, as had been mentioned many times in this space, DCP’S precertification presentation dealing with Gowanus Infrastructure improvements. You relive the magic all here on Youtube or via this Google folder, which, like the Public Place meeting materials, includes the attendance, chat, and presentation. You can also check out the Parks Department and the EPA presentation regarding the Red Hook ballfield remediation.

However, if what you crave is live-action Land Use discussions and presentations, register for tonight’s committee meeting, and you won’t be disappointed. The agenda includes landmark items, a DCP presentation of an update on the proposed zoning text amendment Zoning for Coastal Flood Resiliency, and a ULURP application for a mixed-use site at 300 Huntington Street.

The items voted on tonight will then, like the liquor license applicants the coming Monday, will then move to be voted on at Wednesday’s full board meeting.

But we’ve got some time before that, and I recommend using some of it to check out the items below my signature. But no matter how you spend your time, enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
