I’m sure there will be more articles with more explicit legal statements on the process. Still, for those who open these emails seeking rezoning related news, I can humbly share my understanding. Today the court held a further virtual hearing on the permissibility under state and city law of a virtual ULURP. The court has not yet issued a decision clarifying whether our community process can move forward. For now, we will have to wait for the Judge's decision. Hopefully, this is done sooner rather than later. If you want to experience an unchallenged virtual ULURP to fill the void, you can always watch one we've already approved.

Also, I’d like to thank everyone who reached out, shared, liked, or retweeted our letter reiterating our request for a comprehensive traffic study in Red Hook—continuing thanks to folks such as Jim Tampakis, groups such as Resilient Red Hook, and other members of the Red Hook community for bringing this issue to the forefront. Now we have to keep it there and make sure this necessary study happens.
