I hope this email finds you well on this slushy Monday. It starts a week that will feature 2 CB6 committee meetings. Before mentioning those meetings, I’d like to thank everyone who congratulated me on turning 36. 

The first of those meetings puts the “H” in EWCDH. H is for Housing, specifically federal legislation titled the Public Housing Emergency Response Act. This legislation was introduced in the House of Representatives by Congresswoman Nydia Velasquez, and her District Director, DanIel Wiley, will join us to discuss it. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM, and you can register here.

At the same time of day, but on Thursday, Feb 25th, our Landmarks/ Land Use Committee will meet and review an application to the Board of Standards and Appeals (BSA) for 145 Wolcott Street in Red Hook. In the most simplified sense, it’s an application to permit a 14-story mixed-use (office, light manufacturing, residential) building. If you'd like to know more, I’d suggest registering for the meeting, checking out related documents, and commenting.
