Last night, as previewed in prior newsletters, our Permits & Licenses Committee met. CB6 Board Secretary Karen Broughton stepped up to chair the meeting, unsurprisingly did an excellent job, and the committee approved an application for an on-premises Liquor License at 223 Smith Street. This establishment will serve American cuisine and is owned by the same people that own and operate Verde on Smith. Verde is on the side of the block at 216 Smith Street. The next stop for this application is our April 14th full board meeting. 

While looking to April, those interested in the Avenue F/G station elevator should mark their calendars or register for April 15th’s Transportation & Public Safety Committee meeting. The reason being that the MTA will present their plans during this meeting, and it’s something the community has fought and advocated to make a reality for many years. 

Of course, don’t forget about other meetings we have, including Landmarks/Land Use on Thursday, EWCDH next Monday, and YHSE next Wednesday.
