I hope this email finds you well on this way too warm Wednesday. I want to draw your attention to a few items of interest briefly.

I hope this email finds you well on this way too warm Wednesday. I want to draw your attention to a few items of interest briefly.

I’ll start with Council Member Lincoln Restler's panel discussion tonight titled “Community Boards 101”. It’s on zoom and begins at 6:30 PM. The discussion will include members from CB1, CB2, CB3, and me. Hopefully, this can get more folks involved with their local community boards. Second, also being held virtually, is the Southwest Brooklyn Tenants Union February meeting from 6:30 until 8:30 pm. Third, in person at “The Roof” of the Gowanus Whole Foods, the Gowanus Dredgers will host their annual meeting from 7 until 9 pm.

Also, directly in the CB6 orbit, tomorrow, Thursday, February 24th at 6:30 PM, our Landmarks/ Land Use committee meets over zoom.  The focus of the meeting will be a review of 4 items: one ULURP, one BSA application, and two Certificates of Appropriateness.

I could go on, but there are many items listed below my contact information, and I’d recommend checking them out. Those items include more meetings, job listings, and civic opportunities that could be beneficial. However, whether you believe any of them are beneficial or not, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.

Best,
Mike Racioppo, District Manager
