On days like this, looking at the gravity of the news, mostly bad bad but still some good, it’s hard, at least for me, to focus exclusively on the local level. However, with a large Ukrainian population here in NYC, people have asked and discussed ways to help those in Ukraine. So if that interests you, I recommend checking out this list compiled by NPR. So with that, I’ll shift to the local and hyperlocal in the case of CB6.

Last night, as previewed, our Landmarks/Land Use (LM/LU) Committee met. The agenda had five items on it, three for the LM side of the committee and two for the LU side. All five were overwhelmingly approved. If you missed it or want to relive it, watch the meeting on our Youtube`page. These items will now head for a vote from our Full Board on March 9th.

The same fate (a vote from the full board on March 9th) is expected for the five liquor license applications on the agenda for this Monday’s Permits and Licences (P&L) meeting. The P&L meeting is one of 2 CB6 meetings we’re having next week, as on Thursday, our Transportation & Public Safety Committee will meet and get an update on the BQE from DOT. 

I could go on, but there are many items listed below my contact information, and I’d recommend checking them out. Those items include more meetings, job listings, and civic opportunities that could be beneficial. However, whether you believe any of them are beneficial or not, stay safe and have a great weekend.
