I hope this email finds you well on this 3rd day of March. All the best on this Ash Wednesday for those who celebrate and observe the Lenten season. Like lots of other days, I have three brief items to highlight.

First, a reminder that our full board meets one week from tonight, on Wednesday, March 9th, at 6:30 PM over Zoom. The agenda will have votes on four new on-premises liquor license applications, 3 Certificates of Appropriateness applications, 1 ULURP application, and 1 BSA variance. Register for the meeting by going to bit.ly/Mar9cb6.

Secondly, a program we’ve long supported, the Summer Youth Employment Program(SYEP), is now accepting applications. The program is open to New Yorkers between fourteen and twenty-four years old. Find out more by going to NYC.GOV/SYEP. Locally, the Red Hook Community Justice Center offers help with the application, and you can find out more by going to  tinyurl.com/rhsyephelp.

Third,  another reminder that tomorrow’s BQE meeting is CANCELED.
