I hope this email finds you well as we begin the workweek on World Turtle Day. I have three items and a suggestion to highlight.
I hope this email finds you well as we begin the workweek on World Turtle Day. I have three items and a suggestion to highlight.
First, the court-ordered special master for redistricting has released, and the court has approved, the final maps for New York’s State Senate and Congressional districts. You can see the new districts and determine if you’re in a new one by going to bit.ly/AmiRedistrcited2022.
Secondly, our Landmarks/ Land Use(LMLU) Committee meets this coming Thursday, May 26th, at 6:30 PM over Zoom. The agenda involves “LM” with two applications for Certificates of Appropriateness and “LU” with a ULURP application for a rezoning and special permit at 9th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. To read more about it or register for the meeting, go to bit.ly/CB6May26LMLU.
Third, I’ll remind you that the Health Department’s Covid-19 alert system remains at high risk (Orange). So, if you haven’t already, get vaccinated and boosted by going to vax4nyc.nyc.gov.
If you read past my contact information, you’ll find a lot is happening across our community this week and beyond. That includes tonight’s Red Hook Business Mixer, tomorrow’s Gowanus CAG meeting, Wednesday’s Cobble Hill Association meeting, and the LMLU committee meeting I mentioned in a prior paragraph. However, whether you check out any of these happenings or not, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
