I’d guess the voter registration rate among those who subscribe to community board newsletters is higher than the general population. However, today is national voter registration day, so I must remind folks to register.

I’d guess the voter registration rate among those who subscribe to community board newsletters is higher than the general population. However, today is national voter registration day, so I must remind folks to register. If you’re not registered to vote or want to check your registration(address, party), go to: nycvotes.turbovote.org

To vote in the general election for Governor, U.S Senate & House, State Senate & Assembly, you must be registered by October 13th. If you intend to request an absentee ballot, the deadline is October 24th. Also, just like in the old days, I’ll be sure to have voter registration forms with me next Wednesday at our full board meeting

Before my usual suggestion to scroll down and read more, I’d like to highlight one item. That item is Thursday’s City Council Zoning and Franchises meeting because the 9th Street rezoning application is on the agenda. To find out more, like how to testify, go to council.nyc.gov/. We, along with the City Planning Commission and Borough President Reynosos, have already made the recommendation that the 9th Street rezoning be approved

I recommend reading further, but regardless of what you do, enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.

Best,
Mike Racioppo, District Manager
